WHERE: Amamoor WHEN: 16th Aug to 31st Aug for the run up and then during the Amamoor Country Music Muster. We need people for morning or afternoon shifts, starting at 9.30am until 5.30pm - DAILY. WHAT IS INVOLVED: Handing out information, selling STMR merchandise PURPOSE: Maintain the awareness that the proposed dam is a ‘social, financial and environmental disaster’ and to raise funds.

One year on and the will to fight dam still flows strong
ALMOST a year after the controversial Traveston dam plan was announced by the state government, residents in the Mary Valley, although battle-weary and exhausted, are maintaining their determination to put a stop to the dam. Kevin Ingersole and his wife, Sharon, moved to Kandanga from New South Wales four years ago for their retirement and purchased a l2ha property with 400 mango trees. They finished renovating it about 18 months ago.
