The Platypus
I saw a platypus this morning. I have seen them before but never so late, it was nearly lunch. Gliding in canoe, I spy the creatures glistening brown and black. In a fresh world of beauty she lies, the fish and turtles below. Iridescently flashing a kingfisher deducts one fish, All busy feeding in a valley, blue and green. O God its so gorgeous, so full of life.
