YOU need to stop and listen, and YOU need to work it through, When you seek amalgamation do NOT make another blue – We are the ones who suffer. Do YOU understand our plight? We the people of the country employ YOU to get it right.
Wildlife Warriors: It's time
Yeah, it’s time to stop the slaughter of our native land No more telling lies, drawing lines in the sand Maybe we didn’t know but surely now it’s underhand No more crocodile tears, did he die in vain Did he make us cry, did he suffer all his pain So we could knock it down again and again and again
Recollections of the Mary River
“I saw dry lightning storms start a big fire at Cooran Mountain which spread to Cooroy and then re-burnt the whole area in four days supported by a swift south east wind. I also saw extensive flooding of the Mary River and Six Mile Creek. This caused so much mud in the river that it killed all the Cod Fish-enough of them to line the bridge in Cooran on both sides from end to end, followed again by more droughts,” said Vern.

The Platypus
I saw a platypus this morning. I have seen them before but never so late, it was nearly lunch. Gliding in canoe, I spy the creatures glistening brown and black. In a fresh world of beauty she lies, the fish and turtles below. Iridescently flashing a kingfisher deducts one fish, All busy feeding in a valley, blue and green. O God its so gorgeous, so full of life.
